This bill LB 251 introduced into Committee by Senator Lynne Walz of Fremont would cover the cost of reduced meals in our schools, by the State of Nebraska. I have sent Senator Walz an email thanking her for her support. Sometimes it feels like we don’t make much of an impact on our visits with our elected officials, but our voice is important. I think our voice is being heard, small ripples are happening.
We are the voice for the meals we serve, for the students who come to our kitchens and tables every day. These are our kids.
I asked Senator Walz if there was anything we could do to help her with this bill.
