The USDA has approved federal funding for supply chain assistance for operators of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP)  in response to the unprecedented challenges in purchasing and receiving food. These resources will be referred to as Supply Chain Assistance (SCA) funds. SCA funds can be used exclusively to purchase unprocessed or minimally processed domestic food products.

Thanks to those that attended the SCA webinar yesterday, February 23, 2022. Nutrition Services is in the process of adding additional resources related to SCA funds (including a recording of the webinar, webinar slides and a Frequently Asked Questions document) to the Nutrition Services homepage.  Please check this webpage over the coming days as resources are made available.

School Food Authorities (SFAs) can elect to receive all available funds, a portion of funds, or decline all funding.
